PrestaShop has new ownership as of December 2025, acquired by Polish tech group Cyber_Folks (through its subsidiary Cyber_Pixel) along with Sylius and BitBag, forming a major European e-commerce ecosystem, moving from its previous owner, MBE Worldwide (now Fortidia). I am currently facing a really complicated issue when it comes to bulk updating my products stock and prices. Apparently there is no easy way to do this except from uploading a .cvs file which has to follow a certain criteria. The problem is that it's not practical at all since I have to include the attribute data and respective value, which isn't simply something easy to get. On top of that it's not possible to bulk update products with and without combinations, I have to do it separetely.

Given the fact that all of my product combinations have unique References, is there a way or a module that allows me to simply use the references as the key value and pick what other values I want to update? By accessing the menu "Stocks" under "Catalog" I can see that it lists the product combinations by each combination using its unique reference so this menu would allow me to easily and effortlessly update them.

Unfortunately this has two problems:

• I'd love to do it by simply uploading a .csv/.xls file of my ERP product list and picking the values I want to update (again, using reference as the key value).
• This menu only allows to update stocks, not price changes

Please let me know if there's a way to do this within Prestashop or if you're aware of a module that allows me to do this.

TLDR: Potentially looking for a module that lets me:

• Update both single products and products combinations by uploading a .csv/.xls file and picking the reference as key to update stocks and price changes;
• Doesn't require me to provide the attribute and given value of product combinations when I just want to update prices+stocks;
• Extra: detect if a given reference is not yet in the database and allow me to easily create a product using it,

I can get the subcategories images in a smarty template so:

I am new with Prestashop 9.

My goal is to edit customer order conf email.
I do edit order_conf.html.twig and then generate emails and clear cache but email keep same (default)

Footer and header .twig was fine after modify and those show in emails.

So in the DB, ps_tax_rules_group, there is a column "deleted" which shows this group as "1". When I change it to "0" i can see and edit the group in the BO, but when I save, it goes back to it's deleted state with no changes saved.

Is there any other tables i should also edit to re-enable this group?

I have an issue with the translation system in PrestaShop 8.2.3

Setup:
- PS 8.2.3
- Theme: Warehouse
- Languages: English (en-us), Slovenian (sl / sl-SI)

Problem:
The Translations page does not work for Slovenian. Front office and module translations both return a blank screen with “undefined” and no expressions.

At the same time, product, category and CMS translations work fine (stored in *_lang tables and displayed correctly), so multilingual content itself is not the issue.

Technical details:
Requests like
/api/translations/tree/sl/themes/warehouse  
and  
/api/translations/tree/sl/modules/ps_wirepayment  
return 500.

Logs show:
- TranslationService::getTranslationsTree(): Argument #2 ($locale) must be of type string, null given
- TranslationFilesNotFoundException: There are no translation file available
- Call to a member function trans() on null in AdminController

What I tried:
- created /translations/sl-SI
- cleared cache
- checked permissions
- verified language config (sl / sl-SI)
- issue occurs for both theme and modules

Conclusion:
Looks like PrestaShop cannot resolve locale for 'sl', so translation API fails, while DB translations still work.

Question:
Is this a known issue in PS 8.2, or a language pack / locale problem? Any fix or workaround?

I didn't like how PrestaShop 9 handles deleting photos from the product catalog.

Instead of having a direct delete button on the image, PrestaShop opens a sidebar.

Does anyone know of a module to delete photos directly?

I’m planning a new production deployment for a PrestaShop 9.x store on a VPS and I’m looking for community feedback on the most stable and maintainable architecture. I couldn't find anything on the topic of containerised production deployments - from operational perspective.

I am currently weighing two options:

• The "Traditional" Way: Standard VPS (Debian/Ubuntu) with manual installation
• The Containerized Way: Docker Swarm using a PHP-FPM + Nginx + MariaDB stack with Traefik as a reverse proxy. Plus observability stack.

My specific concerns regarding the Docker approach are mostly around upgrades:

1. FPM + Nginx Setup (The /var/www/html Dilemma) If using the FPM image, Nginx requires access to /var/www/html to serve static files. However, if the entire document root is mounted as a shared persistent volume, pulling a new PrestaShop image tag for an upgrade does nothing—the volume masks the updated core files. How do you solve this?
2. Apache Setup (Selective Volumes) If using the Apache image to avoid the Nginx shared volume issue, what exactly should be mounted as persistent? My proposed list of stateful directories to bind is:

I am running a PrestaShop store and recently tried to integrate a custom payment flow that depends on checking account balance from First Abu Dhabi Bank before confirming certain high value orders.

The problem I am facing is that the balance inquiry part is not returning consistent results. Sometimes it shows an outdated balance and other times it just fails silently without throwing a clear error. This is causing orders to go through when they should not, or get stuck in pending even when funds are available.

I am not using a paid module for this, just a custom implementation using FAB’s API along with a small helper module I wrote to hook into order validation. Everything else in the checkout flow works fine, including payment callbacks, but this balance check step is unreliable.

Has anyone here worked with FAB APIs or built something similar where external balance verification is needed before order confirmation? I am trying to understand if this is a timing issue, caching problem, or something related to how PrestaShop handles external requests during checkout.

Any guidance or similar experiences would really help.

I recently upgraded my PrestaShop store from 8.x to 9.0, and since then I’m getting a blank page only on the “Modules” page in the back office.

After the upgrade, I cleared all caches, restarted PHP-FPM, and rechecked file permissions.

When I open:

/admin3434/index.php/improve/modules/manage

I only get a blank white page (HTTP 200) — the rest of the back office (Dashboard, Stats, etc.) works fine.

Even with _PS_MODE_DEV_ enabled and overrides disabled, no error or exception appears, and both:

var/log/dev.log

var/log/prod.log

remain empty (no entries at all when loading the page).

In the Apache logs I only see:

"GET /admin3434/index.php/improve/modules/manage ... 200 361"

So it looks like the controller runs, but returns an empty output.

THe other day my server was out as it had been under attack for a while. I blocked the IPs of the attackers, and then thought it would be easier iif I had a module to stop it. I bought banippro. I never managed to get it to work, it took my backend out. After a while, I disabled the module by renaming it and switching it off in the database. All good, then I named it back and it appeared in the modules list, so I selected reinstall. At that point my backend stopped working. The shop works, but if I go to the admin, it takes the whole site out for about 30 seconds, this also affects the other sites back end, which never had the plugin on it.

If I look in the logs, I have a wall of errors such as

Once it gets that error, it then seems to have to wait for PHP to crash and restart to get the site back, it never recovers on its own.

I checked to see if the number of open files on the server was too low, but it doesn't seem to be (I bumped it up, making no difference). I compared my backed up database before and after, I can't see any major differences, the same as the files, which apart from the cache (which I have cleared) is the same.

The site is still working, but the backend is untouchable, so although I can use prestatools, I can't really get much else done.

I am completely out of ideas, I don't really know symfony,. Any ideas, or pointer to the right place to get help on this, I couldn't work out the right forum!

After migrating (manual migration) from PrestaShop 1.7 to PrestaShop 8.2.0 + update to PrestaShop 8.2.4 (with the official Update Assistant module), some fields no longer appear in the customer's administration panel after logging into their account, namely: My Orders, My Return Notes, and My Returns.

Looking at the site developed locally in XAMPP, those fields are present, but on the live site, after migration, those fields have disappeared.

Today, I updated a Prestashop installation from 8.2.3 to 9.0.2. Since then, most of the time, when browsing the Backoffice, I will see the following message:

Until now, I could not figure out anything causing this. In the PHP logs, there are some Deprecated messages, but that's it. Switching the shop to Debug Mode (via SFTP, switching on all debug info) does not help either. 

The Frontoffice is running fine and smooth (currently in Maintenance-Mode). It's only the Backoffice.

Any suggestions on where to look or what to try out are most welcome. I would be very unhappy, if I have to go back to 8.2.3 to have a working shop. Especially, as IONOS will soon start charging for the use of PHP 8.1.

I have modified the /pdf/invoice.total-tab.tpl file so a new line "PayPal fee" appears in the total table. Among other code, I have used this line in a similar way to the rest of the concepts:

Probably their bank refused the payment.

I have the issue that I need to change the customer to bank wire, but I cant delete or modify the original payment, even not in PresTool.

Is there any other workaround? becouse any modification I try the original payment is set again.

I deactivated everything and only Smarty cache. I deleted and purged everything and even manually deleted the var/cache still can't get it to work...

i needed to create a cutom order status that uses the same template order_conf but with seperate text. So i created the status and copied all the order_conf tpl files, gave them a different name, regenerated emails. The issue is that when I use this status, the email comes with variables showing up as plain text.

The only variables that return data are {shop_url} {firstname} {lastname} {total_paid} {shop_name}

What am i missing ?

I have a old products and copied it to add a new product that was very similiar. There were no problem untill I saw that the price in the front office is presented as " 1.100 " instead of " 1 100 " as for any other products. This copied product as the old prodct has the thousand separator, but not the other thousands products.

How can that be possible. Are the thousand separator set on product basis?? I searched database for such a difference, compared to most other products (99,9%) that don't have this thousand seperator.

Any ideas how I can get rid of it on particular product?

I was wondering if it was possible to know if an email was delivered. Indeed I have modules including a quote for example that send emails and it happens that we are wrong about entering the email address of customers. However, we have no feedback on the good deliverability of these.

I’ve just upgraded my shop from PrestaShop V8 to V9 and I’m having trouble setting up my carrier.

Previously I had shipping configured as:

• Paid delivery up to £10
• Free delivery for orders over £10

Since the upgrade, I can only offer free postage. If I enable paid shipping, customers see the error:

       “Unfortunately, there are no carriers available for your delivery address.”

But if I remove the paid shipping rule, everything works fine.

Also, every time I try to set up the carrier, a “something went wrong” debug page appears.

Has anyone else experienced this after upgrading to V9? Any tips or fixes would be hugely appreciated.

But .. of course there had to be a but: shipping.

There are several posts (supposedly) addressing this issue of single-country / multi-zones. My take from all the posts: get an add-on. That may be what we end up doing but really?

I mean come on, even in France you'd have this issue. Surely it isn't going to be the same shipping cost from Paris to Nantes and say Paris to Bastia. So how would one deal with such a simple case in a basic Prestashop installation?

This is what I've tried:

• Create fictitious states/provinces and assign zones to those.
• Assign zones in carrier record with different prices.

Got stumped when asked to assign a zone to the country... no carrier showed up in the cart.

So tried:

• Create one zone for the whole country
• Assign new zone to country
• Assign new zone in the carrier record 

That sort of worked: one single shipping option for the whole country, it completely ignored the other zones, even when changing the city, etc. So definitely not the desired result.

Also tried:

• add a carrier per zone

Didn't improve anything: no carrier shows at checkout. At which point I resorted to seek help.

So how would one do this? It's a simple ask:

• One country
• Several zones (each with different shipping cost)
• Zone and carrier selected automatically from customer address, or manually selected at checkout if there are different carriers

I wonder, what the regular calls to api.segment.io are about. They always fail, as of being blocked. I suspect they sometimes cause a 504 error when operating Prestashop.

Example URLs:

• https://api.segment.io/v1/i

• https://api.segment.io/v1/t 

Is there any way to disable these calls? I do not want or need these calls and they might violate the GDPR, as they seem to contain some user data in the payload.

My site is 9.0.2, i deal in IT tech, our names are longer that 128 characters, how can i make it take upto 255 characters?

I have old info for 1.7.* which did state:

1.change db ps_product_lang increase length of name

2.change "prestashop\src\PrestaShopBundle\Form\Admin\Product\ProductInformation.php" and alter 'max' => 128  to 255

the above no longer exists.

3. change "classes/Product.php" and change link_rewrite to 255

All these changes did work, but no longer work when importing for version 9.0.*

I am trying to stop the subcategories from showing up when hovering over the main menu categories, in the Hummingbird theme. 

I have managed to do this in a previous version, in Classic with the help of this thing in a css module: .top-menu .sub-menu{display:none !important}

I'm migrating from a very old version 1.6.0.9 to the latest 9.0.3. I've imported the main catalog tables (products, categories, etc.) so far.

In the PrestaShop Main Menu v2.3.6 module configuration,

I don't see categories as available items, but I do see CMS, manufacturers, suppliers, etc.

Has this happened to anyone else? How can I fix it?

I've already recalculated the category hierarchy. I tried adding a test category, which wasn't imported from the old database, but it's also not visible.

in my Prestashop 1.6.1.24 i set Free delivery starts at value 100 €

But I don't want this to apply to some products.

In the ps_emailalerts -> new order there are list of ordered product

I got added feature in products called "Company Owned" I want to insert to this mail

I assume that I should edit file prestashop/mails/themes/classic/modules/ps_emailalerts/new_order.html.twig and somehow add this , but is this possible to get value of a product feature?

There is working only $product.availability_message
but I need to show different availability to logged in customer and not logged in customers

I had before version 1.7.7.8 where was $product.available_now working (when you have them empty at products, it takes data from PrastaShop configuration)

I'm hoping that someone might be able to help me with this one, if at all possible.

My shop's default currency is USD (I need it to be in USD) and my main target market is from South Africa so most visitors require ZAR currency which is set up and configured. What I'd like to achieve without having to use a module for this purpose is for the website to automatically load ZAR currency for first-time visitors even though the default currency is USD and not ZAR. Is this possible by maybe changing some code?

Customers that do not require ZAR currency can of course change the currency to USD if they prefer, that option remains available via the currency selector.

The reason why I'd prefer not using a module for this purpose is that I have tried this before with 3 modules form the addon store and either they don't work correctly or end up slowing down the website when loading it for the first time for a new cuso5tmer. I need the website to quickly load ZAR currency by default even though the actual default currency set in Prestashop is USD.

Please tell me this is possible?

Does anyone know where the attribute insertion tool went in PrestaShop 9?

I can create the attribute I need, but I can't find it when creating the product in any tab.

I'm having an error in the PrestaShop 9 back office.

Every time I clone a product and update it, the product name doesn't update in the listing.

Has anyone else experienced this error? PrestaShop is creating endless copies of cloned products.

For example, if I receive an order on January 10 and I send the invoice and the order on January 12, why does the invoice show the date January 10? Is there any legal way to fix this?

I chose 301 permanent redirect to another products.
Then I select the desidered products from the dropdown.

But when opening the url of the deactivated products, it's redirected to a not working page with my shop url followed by product id and -

For example:
https://www.mywebsite.it/mug/3464-mug-koala-termosensibile.html
It's redirected to:
https://www.mywebsite.it/5113-

The id it's correct, but it's missing the products name and .html

I can't find a way to fix this... Any help?

I'm on a dev site under Windows. And I'm trying to update from 9.0.0 to 9.0.2.

Update assistant V7.5.0.

I checked the php error file nothing there but warnings.

I deleted the var/dev folder.

Tried a lot of things, this "something when wrong" always comes at a random time during the update.  Sometime it's right a the beginning, some time it's during the zip decompress...

When I click ton "Send error report" I can see that error in the browser console:

I recently noticed that the database of my Prestashop 8.2.1 is huge - 5.19 GB

How to check what is generating such a huge amount of data?

We're wracking our brains here... there's no errors and we can't find any logs with any errors. Customers aren't getting order confirmation, shipping confirmation or password reset emails etc.

If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated.

I want to create a B2B store, but instead of different % discounts for different customers groups, I'd like to manually set price for each group.

What I mean:

- Let's say I have 3 different groups: resellers, vip, small stores

- when I create a new products to can set manually different prices for each group.

Any solution for this? Or some alternative approach?

I just installed prestashop v1.9.2. To login into BackOffice is no problem.

BUT ,when I want to add an new currency Prestashop BO will not working.

After 1 minute I got a message on my browser:

The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable.
Please try again later.

I can not login into the Admin Panel anymore.

The server is hosted in german.

Any Idea why this happens?

I clean install Prestashop 9.0.2 and i have one issue, the "More" menu in BO it is not working

I’m currently working on improving the performance and maintainability of a growing PrestaShop store, and I wanted to hear how others approach this at different stages.

As a store scales, things like performance, module management, theme customization, and update safety start to matter much more than at the beginning. Sometimes, small decisions made early on can cause issues later when traffic or product count increases.

What changes made the biggest difference for you as your PrestaShop store grew?

How do you balance customization with keeping updates safe?

Are there any general practices you wish you had followed from the start?

We have spoken to the hoster and have a sufficiently big server space. SSD Fastpro L package and they say that is not the problem.
What could be causing the shop to "hiccup" like this please. Never had this problem before.

Anyone had this problem as well?

This will require a lot of coding if there is no existing solution.

Now I use only BGN as currency.

My question, which is the easiest and proper way to change the main currency?

What I thing is that I have to enable second currency, the EUR. Is it going to calculate automatically the prices?

When I started testing email previews, I noticed that the templates being rendered were not the ones I had customized. Because PrestaShop 9 introduced many changes compared to previous versions, I assumed this might be related to how email templates are now resolved.

To eliminate ambiguity, I took the following steps:

- I copied all email templates from the custom theme/mails folder into both the classic and modern themes.
- I then tested which location was actually being used by the preview system.

Through testing, I realized that:

- The email preview only works when /mails/themes/classic exists.
- If I rename or remove /mails/themes/classic, the email preview stops working entirely.

This strongly suggests that /mails/themes/classic is the only folder triggering email previews.

To further isolate the issue:

In my custom theme, I renamed the mails folder so it cannot be used.

In the core /themes directory, I renamed all themes except classic, so there should be only one possible source for email templates: /mails/themes/classic

Despite this, I’m still seeing generic email content in the preview, The main email body does not reflect my customized templates from the language folder, However, changes made to footer.twig are reflected (for example, removing “Powered by PrestaShop”). So something is being loaded from my customized files — but only partially.

Also.

I clear the cache every time I make changes (manually from the file manager) , I have left only one language folder inside /mails/themes/classic, even so, the email body content does not seem to come from that language folder at all.

At this point, I’m stuck because:

There is only one possible mail template location left.
Parts of my customizations are applied.
But the main email content is still coming from what looks like a fallback or generic source.

Clearly, I’m missing something in how PrestaShop 9 resolves or composes email templates, but I can’t identify what it is.

If anything in this explanation is unclear, I’m happy to reformulate — but I hope someone familiar with PrestaShop 9’s email system can point out what I’m overlooking.

I'm having some problems with product attachment on IOS, i can't open or download pdf in IOS with safari (didn't checked for other browser), for android or desktop browser it's working with no issue.

I noticed that if i deactivate SSL then the link will open on iphone, but that's not a solution.

Link it's like: index.php?controller=attachment&id_attachment=xxx.

I have changed AttachmentController.php so now pdf will open in a new tab instead of download but w/o any result on iphone.  

I tried few .htaccess rules but w/o succes for example:

<FilesMatch "\.(pdf|csv|xls)">
  Header set Content-Disposition attachment
</FilesMatch>

Prestashop version is 1.6.1.7

Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated.

I'm using an IOS emulator but i have tried a real phone and i get the same results, just that i don't own one.
