In the emails that are sent to customers, only the non-URL variables work. For example, {shop_url} works will if left as is. Meaning, it'll change into the url of my shop when it's not made into a link. However, when I try to insert {shop_url} as a link, the {shop_url} will stay as {shop_url} in the email and not change into my actual shop URL.

When I add {shop_url} as regular text, it changes to my www.shopurl.com in the email. It's only when I insert a link into it that the {shop_url} doesn't change.

For example, if I type "HELLO" and insert the link {shop_url}, in the email sent, the word HELLO becomes a link. But instead of it link to my actual shop URL, it only links to {shop_url}. In the picture, my mouse is over the word HELLO.

Since updating to Prestashop 1.6.1.24, I am having a hard time changing the header color specifically of the logo background header. Please see screenshot. I have tried modifying header-container background color in global.css and also used !important; tag but the part I highlighted in the screenshot is not changing. I need it in black to go with overall theme of my website and also because my logo background color is black and I want it to merge with the background color

I would highly appreciate any help on this.

can't find the way to edit the document I attacch to my order's shipment (delivery slip and invoice, I enclose and example of my current templateddt_valorizzato000007 (2).pdfddt_valorizzato000007 (2).pdfddt_valorizzato000007 (2).pdf): e.g. need to add the company details on the header of these documents. Or change some text of the form.

I evend tried to find an addon/module to purchase on the prestashop but no way to find anything that suits my need.

I have an issue. I'm selling to businesses and customers. I want to show the vat number only when the user puts something in the company name field (that's how it should work)

In my system, the vat number is always required in the adress form. Not matter if the field "company name" is empty or not. I've uncheck setting "require vat number" in the localization/country for each country.

I tried to enable and disable the B2B mode but that has no impact. How can I make this vatnumber field required for business and optional (or hidden) for customers?

we've noticed this site artoyz.com is a lot quicker and they're both presta shop sites.

We have run out of support tickets but we're unwilling to pay for the support plan as it's clearly a rip-off and not worth the money - we would probably pay the money if it meant we were responded to straight away but it's not worth it for a 72 hour wait at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have been working on my prestashop store online for a few months, and today when I logged in there is nothing under my account. It only says Create your store and I can download the Prestashop software. I have no idea where my store went or what has happened. I used to be able to see the store right when I logged in, and I didn't use the Prestashop software to work with my store. I don't understand what has happened. Is there anyone who can shed a light on what has happened or who/where I should look for help?

I'v been trying to get this right for the past 6 months but still with no - or limited success.

I have a drop down menu at the select carriaer page and the sylling seems to fail so users are unable to read the text when its not in focus. 

Please see screenshot for exampel. No I figured out how to change font font, background color when a user clicks on the drop down. But as soon as they leave it the text and background is black. 

I hope that somebody out there can help me fix this problem.

I cannot ftp login to the prestashop cloud server using the details I specified when creating my shop earlier this week.

The online doc states I should check and add ftp users as follows : "Current ftp users, if any, are listed right your store's "Store details" page, below the domain names section."

What "Store details" page?

I cannot find a "Store details" page anywhere in my BackOffice or any reference to ftp access or permissions either.

I believe it needs to be solved, or can you please let me know how to avoid it in the future?

Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem itself and there is no way for me to reply back to the ticket which has been marked as "closed", without open a new one.

I believe the problem is between prestashop and Norton and they should communicate to confirm the safety of the platform and avoid this inconvenience, because ask to me to spend more money for having a service which should be guaranteed, as the proper access to the page, or ask to people, or potential clients, to modify their own security setup to be able to enter on my store does not look to me a solution.

i am from Peru, i tried create prestashop cloud, but I do not have this option.

only download and hosting options.

I need to install the "1-Click Upgrade - AutoUpgrade Module" in order to update the version of my Prestashop Cloud.

This module is developed by Prestashop and is free.

This module is not offered in my module section in the backoffice, but it's offered to download.

I understand I have to download it, unsip it and move through FTP to the "modules" folder for after installing it through the module section in the backoffice.

The issue is that after doing these steps the module does not appear in the module section in the backoffice.

I did this workflow before and never failed.

I'm missing any step?

I tried the "forgot your password" feature. The system tells me "Instructions to reset your password have been emailed to you. Please check your email." but I receive no email.

Any insights how to login / reset password welcome.

Basically everything has been working just fine but I was wanting to sync my prestashop orders with ship station. To do that I needed to update the .htaccess file which I did. Even after doing that it tried to update on ship station forever and never worked.

Now that I try to go in and make other changes I find that I can't get to anything. I can log into prestashop.com and click Manage My store but once I do that it doesn't bring up the office, but instead goes to 502 Bad Gateway. Same thing happens when I go to the website directly.

I just recently setup the ftp account today and I cannot connect to the server with my information that way either. I am using FileZilla for that. I was able to go into it earlier to edit the .htaccess information required by ship station for it to sync but since then I haven't been able to do anything.

I really need my website to be up and running again and figure out what the heck is happening. Like I said, I don't know much about all of this stuff so I am so confused. It shouldn't be this difficult to have basic things working like they are supposed to.

As you can see, gosts cannot see prices under picture of product, only logged in users, how to make it become visible for everyone ?

Please help.

I bought a local payment module for my site which was listed as Cloud Compatible, when in reality, it wasn't. Or atleast, it needed FTP to set it up and configuring it was way beyond a regular users capabilities. The FTP part I managed, but the module still doesn't work and the developer has been ignoring me for more than a week now.

So, to the question. I need to get a new module, but all the others are not listed as Cloud Compatible. Will PrestaShop allow me to buy and install them on a Cloud store? What kind of issues can i expect?

Here is the problem. Since 3 days, I have a big white screen instead of my e-commerce website > www.reboutik.com

I remember to install that module (http://addons.prestashop.com/fr/20067-liveperson.html), but it was working. I'v tried to uninstall it this morning to see if it was the cause. I Can't find it in my ftp dow. But there is still a white page showing.

I did make a new cms category, that I automaticly deleted, since it was not what I wanted. I think to white screen appears after that.

I bought about 10 modules and a theme. Everything was going alright until I push the button "install" in the last module. Now my Prestashop Cloud has dissapead, I can only see a "white screen" in frontoffice and backoffice.

I have installed that module in other Prestashop Cloud before without any problem.

I have a problem about filters. I sell children's clothes with different brands. The sizes attributes of the brands are different, such some brands use age ( 1month, 4 month, ... 1-2 year, 2-3 year,some uses height (50cm, 56cm... 92 cm,98 cm etc); and some use double size (like 2-3year, 4-5year or 80/86,92/98...). So I need to set a same size-filter for all brands, but no the product page, the value of the size for the particular brand is still same as the brand own size.

I'm running Prestashop 1.6.1.4 and I have several products that are available in different combinations (colors).

Fact is, it often happens that specific combinations for a product run out of stock, while other combinations are still available.

On "Preferences" -> "Products", I have set the "Display Unavailable Product Attributes" option to "No": this way, unavailable combinations (colors) are not shown on product page. But images related to unavailable combinations are still shown and clickable.

Is there a way to automatically hide images related to unavailable combinations of a product?

Any idea on what's happening?

I'm looking for a solution to make the checkout cart a inquiry (quote) to a specific e-mail address, and the custommer gets to see thanks for your inquiry a sales representative will contact you within 24 hours.

So no payment just a inquiry of the products in the cart, it will need to send the custommers address for shipment quote and contact details.

Is this available within prestashop or is there any module available which can do this.

I've bought a prestashop theme (JMS Cake Theme) and automatically installed it in my back-office. I completely installed it, but I couldn't figure out how to change the 'empty' backgrounds so I contacted the developer. According to them I should upload them by FTP. 

Now I have no knowledge of FTP. Does this mean I should upload the theme by FTP? And how can I change these images?

as you know we can download pdf files in order history. But I'm using a webservice and the invoices are saved in /var/www/themes/spar-theme/Factures/XXXX.pdf

I've just set up a new store with a new domain (gloves4fighters.com) via the multi store option (please see the attached file). I've also got my registrar to change the A Record of the domain gloves4fighters.com to point at 37.59.161.130

My original store is shopmma.co.uk and I want gloves4fighters.com to use the same products so the data etc has been copied from shopmma.co.uk when setting up my new store.

I have a feeling I've missed something out. I don't want traffic that goes to the url gloves4fighters.com to end up at shopmma.co.uk it should be a completely separate store.

Should I be adding the url gloves4fighters.com to the Domain Names I have on the Front Office in the Domains & Certificates list?

I am a user of Cloud Prestashop, and we have been very happy with its performance until the following error is appearing when trying to access both backend and fronted. 

Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[08004] [1040] Too many connections

Our site is not very popular and its not very likely that there was a big upsurge of interest suddenly, so what can that be about?

As it is Cloud Prestashop, I believe I cannot access the database etc. and even if I could I am not knowledgable with coding.

What do you think I could do? Will the site come back to life on itself? How can I save the orders if not?

Through localization / translations / front office I've managed to change the translation of the On Sale ribbon twice, for the product page and for the categorie view, but I haven't found where I could change it on the main or home page of the store. Any help?

EDIT: Seems I found it in the progress, it just didn't change right away, unlike the others. Anyway, all the SALE ribbons are now showing what they are supposed to.

Anyone else having this issue, or know how to fix it?

And when i open an account all orders appears to that account how to solve this?

I'm having a bit of trouble with my page. Since the names of the categories are too long and are overlapping, I'd like to get rid on the subcategories section in the catalog view. When I click on a first level categorie, I want to see only the products and not the subcategories. Is it possible to change it like that in the Cloud version?

Another unrelated question - if at some point I choose to move my store to a local hosting server, can I do that? Or are the pages built in the Cloud version "unmoveable"?

I watchd the videos from Nemops a few times,i did manage to import some products ,not all ,i dont now why.At the second time i did import i got a few new products but there where most the same one twice.

The suplier change every day the csv with the actual quantity .

If i import ewery day the csv would i get every day the same products added to ma shop?(i mean 3-4-5 times ?)Is there a method for newbies?

I have had customers place orders in the past with no problems, but as of today, my customers are not getting email confirmations or updates on their orders. This is a big problem, and I really need this fixed asap!

I'm getting the error message: "An error occurred while sending the e-mail to the customer." It's more than one customer, and if I try to press the button "Resend Email". It just gives me the same error message.

Also, I don't know if it's related, but I think I messed up the PrestaShop email configurations by trying to enter my own email address there. What is the default username? Or default settings in general. I blanked out the username and password, but it still isn't working.

I'm wondering if the G2A Pay module can be installed? In the modules directory it shows up as "Free" but it redirects to the zip download.

I tried to upload the files via FTP to /override/modules but nothing changed.

My store was closed for a while so I had catalog mode on. I've just reopened, so I turned catalog mode off, and now I can't open my site.

I hadn't checked the store over the last month, but pretty sure it was working, because I had some questions about products from a couple of customers in the last 24 hours.

I'm trying to get extra banners on the frontpage of my shop. I've made 3 of them, currently displayed side by side, but I want to have 4. Currently the css class for each banner is htmlcontent-item-1 col-xs-4, htmlcontent-item-2 col-xs-4, htmlcontent-item-3 col-xs-4. If I could change it to use col-xs-3 instead of col-xs-4, I would obtain this result. But I just can't figure out how to do it and how to access the cloud files.

I'm really getting frustrated using prestashop, no one who works there answers my questions and the only people I can speak to are the module live chat people. They just try to sell me things. They said I would need to create a special module with one of their partners so my store could what I listed above. I don't believe that. I think the only way to get support here is by other forum members or buying the 1500$/year help system.

some products are very expensive and in stock at their company , like for example a big profesional projector costs 9000 euro and is sold once a year , and its not in stock in our store,. but it is in stock at the company distributor. So if a customer orders it i have to get paid in advance , and order it from the company. Can i remove the cod option from this product and have only the ban wire as payment option ?
