I am currently doing some work for a client who is looking for a POS system. Having investigated a number of systems to date I feel the power of PrestShop could be of use. 

The ideal would be that I could set my client up with a PrestaShop site and as he sells items in his physical store, he just adds them to the cart online. Once he has added them to the cart he should be able to select checkout, associate a customer (if it is a regular customer) and then print/save a pdf invoice.

Is the above possible?

I would like to lock the button "place order" until my form is 100% filled.

How can i achieve that

However, I would like to show not only the standard price with tax on articles and the total sum, but also the net price. Is there a list of variables one can use in the mail template, something like this is what I have in mind:

I have strange problem. I use eMagicOne Store Manager for Prestashop Cloud for import products and when I adding new products I can see them in Back Office.

But when i enter in Front Office and click on the category i see:  "There are no products in this category."

I don't see products also on home page under "New arrived", "Popular" etc.

But on product preview I see it.

Need help on this, please!

Even though this is my first post, I have read through multiple threads in this website previously and they have helped me a lot in setting up my prestashop store so firstly I want to thank you all for the help.. 

Now getting in to my problem, I have been live with my store for about 3 months now and never had any issue in regards to performance both front end and back office. Even now I do not have any issue with my front end performance but my back office has become so slow I am not even able to upload any product for the past one week. It just circles and circles and circles and I have to just close it eventually. 

Getting from one tab to other in the back office itself is taking so long now. for example going from "dashboard" tab to "orders" tab takes about 15 seconds.. Logging in to the admin account itself takes about 8 seconds.. I am using prestashop 1.6.0.14 and i have always been on the same version. My DB is not big either, all together I have got only around 80 products.. 

Is there a way I can find the root cause of the issue please? Any help would be much appreciated. 

1. How can I upload hundreds of product images to Prestashop Cloud using CSV? The FTP address & username provided for me has limited access only to certain folders. None of which is accessible through back-office.
   
2. How much capacity PrestaShop cloud is offering?
   
3. What about SSL security of cloud, is it works specially on checkout page?

He enviado un correo esta mañana a prestashop pero no he recibido respuesta, ademas llevo todo el dia llamando al telefono de prestashop en España y tras estar mas de una hora en espera con la musica de espera, he tenido que colgar en varias ocasiones por falta de respuesta, he solicitado en un email a prestashop bien los archivos y la base de datos o bien necesito hacer la migracion a traves de por ejemplo OVH como indican ,he estado intentando ver el back office de mi tienda y ha desaparecido, y la pagina oficial que ven los clientes, indica error 503, asi que no tengo ni pagina ni backoffice, estoy muy preocupada por este asunto, pagamos nuestra renovacion de Dominio en Diciembre, pero por otro lado nadie me informo que el certificado SSL habia caducado para haber pagado su renovacion como asi hizo prestashop por email con el dominio que nos enviaron y se pago, hace unas semanas cuando entrabas todavia en la pagina web indicaba pagina no segura segun me indicaban los clientes, os agradeceria que me pudieras ayudar a darle un pronta solucion a este problema para que la pagina vuelva a estar operativa.

Migrated our shop from the cloud solution, everything worked fine until we changed the domain.

Frontend works like normal, but when we try to login to the backoffice it says user dont exist. Same with forgot password function.

This is what i have tried:

- Change the domain back didnt work. Same problem.

- Removed cookies, also tried the login page in incognito mode.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

     Suite à la migration prestashop cloud j'ai transféré mon nom de domaine puis commander mon hebergement web chez prestashop qui ne me sert malheureusement ...à rien depuis 52 jours (tickets/26208)

Y a t'il un délai de résolution des tickets ? 

Je suis actuellement bloqué et en train de perdre mon abonnement OVH pour rien. Apparemment après plusieurs appels on m'a informé que je n'aurais pas du relancer un message dans le ticket et que cela a du rallonger l'attente (Supeeeer)

Mais 52 jours ! 

Quelqu'un pourrait t'il contacter transférer mon dossier à un autre technicien ?

When we created our online shop we decided to host it using Webempresa (other hosting web provider), instead using "dedicated hosting" provided by Prestashop Cloud. We thought that we didn't have to perform any process or step referring this migration, but the owner of the shop received the e-mail anyway, warning us about the changes of Cloud and "forcing" us to do any of the 3 ways to migrate.

Firstly I thought we didn't have to perform anything, but the received e-mail questioned myself if we have to do any step to migrate from Cloud.

We've already asked Prestashop Cloud's assistance with no response.

Do we have to perform anything referring the migration in case we have already hosted our online shop with "external" hosting provider (Webempresa) ?

I followed the instruction given by PS team.

1. Created MySQL database

2. Installed PS 1.6.0.14 -  Front and Back Office worked just fine

3. Import database provided by PS team with success

4. Copied backup files provided by PS team

5. Edited config/settings.inc.php to point to the proper database

At this point Back Office is not functional (bad formatting + access refused). So I edited in phpMyAdmin:

Still same problem of Back Office badly formatted and inaccessible

I was wondering if Prestashop is by default SSL protected similar to Wix I was comparing? Wix has SSL protected, and would like to know if this eCommerce platform is as well, if it's not, I'm going to have to go through the trouble of aquiring a CSR code to active my SSL from Namecheap.com to get this done. So far i have the two zips from the PS migration service

I'm a new user and don't see the option to select Prestashop Cloud - only the download option. Am I missing something or has this option been removed?

Becuse have product-list file on foreach. I do not tab system. Only list all category and some module file. But in time i can need see this file on hook file? But i dont look in time because i was not find. This files call's with hook.

i have to repeat the same multiple time, or disable and enable the product again multiple time to save the needed changes.

Since yesterday, Im getting this message "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access / on this server." when trying to access the 2 websites I created with Prestashop:

I don't know if it is related to the fact that I canceled right before my domain www.sandraiozzelli.com  and I created at least one of the accounts with the email contacto@sandraiozzelli.com  as user. Since I noticed the problem with the sites I undo the domain cancellation for www.sandraiozzelli.com and I still have access to my email account contacto@sandraiozzelli.com however I still get the same error message and can't access the back office for non of the sites as well.

Im in a big problem with this and I think I had a support ticket left but cant access my account anymore. 

I really hope I can get help with this....

dispongo de una tienda online creada con prestashop 1.6.1.1  esta es la versión online, la que venía con el servidor ya incluido, únicamente había que adquirir el dominio. Hace un año instalé el certificado SSL que podías adquirir en prestashop. Este certificado ha caducado y desde prestashop no se puede renovar ni adquirir otro, así que he comprado otro en  Godaddy pero no tengo ni idea de como instalarlo.

Es un problema ya que yo tengo la versión online de prestashop y lo manejo todo desde el panel de control, no tengo directorios ni carpetas instaladas, nada de nada.

When I switch it back to my prestashop address being the primary domain name the menu links work but it can only be access by typing in wwww.domainname.com

if you type in just domainname.com it brings you to a prestashop logo screen.

I apologize for my weak knowledge in English.

We've been consistently having problems with the 1.0.1 version of the SecurePay Module on our Prestashop site. We are running version 1.6.1.3 of Prestashop (if this makes any difference). At first SecurePay worked fine, customers were able to make payments OK. But then all of a sudden, with no changes to the configuration of the site by us, the SecurePay module would give the customers a "fingerprint error" and the only way we could find to fix it temporarily was to disable/enable the module. (I assume this was just stopping and restarting the service). Sadly the problem would reoccur after about a week, and we would have to repeat the temporary fix. We asked Prestashop for help via a ticket, but got nowhere.
 

At the same time that this was occurring, an update to the SecurePay module (v1.0.2) was being listed in the modules page on Prestashop. Every time we clicked the button to update the module, we would get the green notification at the top of the page that the module had updated, but it actually hadn't, and the update to v1.0.2 would still be offered to us.

So today out I uninstalled SecurePay v1.0.1 completely, (I documented the configuration settings before doing this) and then installed v1.0.2. I then configured the settings exactly the same as I had documented them, but now when browsing the site as a customer and trying to pay for a product, I get an error that there is no payment module installed, even though I can see that the SecurePay module is installed and configured. I have tried different browsers and cleared my cache etc, but nothing seems to help.

Can anyone offer some advice on what is going on here, and how I can get it resolved please. Prestashop support haven't been able to help fix these ongoing issues, so I'm hoping someone here might be able to at the very least point me in the right direction.

how to open a support ticket?

bad surprise this morning when after quite long holidays I came back to my online store.

Prestashop deleted my store for inactivity (2 months not connecting to it).

My fault for not reading terms and conditions, fault of the spam filter detecting the alert e-mail as spam, but well, the situation is now this.

I contacted the customer service and they told me they cannot do anything, but only either send me a backup (150 euros price.... http://addons.prestashop.com/en/22705-store-backup.html ) or migrate to my server (199 euros http://addons.prestashop.com/en/services/19155-migration-ticket-prestashop-cloud-to-prestashop-download-.html).

Now the question is the following: will I be able to restore my complete store on the cloud service by buying the backup solution? I don't have my own server nor my own hosting, so I definitely need to restart on the Prestashop cloud.

But there, I cannot even create a new store by using my domain name, since it says it is already registered.

What should I do to have my store back on the cloud?

how can I fix this, I have lodged a support ticket but how long do they take to reply?

It brings up the main page but no categories work.

I can go into the back office and they are there.

If I change a product .. text or something. I then can see the product if I search.

But categories are blank.

I think it has something to do with multistore.

It seemed that when I tried this morning my store .com  pointed to my .ca store... which is not even.

So I changed it in multistore to .com.

I am thinking that maybe the store was built on .ca but .com seemed to work before.

I screwed a little bit with pointers on the .ca store as I want .com to show.

I am wondering where the categories are ?  I can see them and they say they are active my store.. but on the site they are not.

I have been setting up my prestashop store by configuring it mostly with different modules and plugins on the Prestashop cloud.

I was fine with most things, till I received the following error on the front end and the back end of the store.

Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2003] Can't connect to MySQL server on 'sql3.prestashopfr1.ha.ovh.net' (4)

It seems to be an authentication issue with the MySQL database. I do not have the credentials to connect to this database since the infrastructure is on the cloud.

This also raises critical concerns as to store backup and availability in the event of the failure?

I would like to know what is available within the infrastructure as of today. Is the site stored in more than one location and is it backed up?

Can you also share what kind of resources are available for the store in terms of technology? I understand that this maybe shared physical server with different databases and corresponding prestashop codes.

I would very much like my website to be stable up and running and will shift it to a stable provider if I can take it off the prestashop cloud as it is configured today.

I have invested over £ 2k on the modules to date. So I am taking this very seriously and I would like some online or email support.

How does one update one's Cloud Prestashop store to the latest version - 1.6.1.1?

(I thought Prestashop updated the Cloud version automatically...)

I tried to upload the 1-Click upgrade module to the Cloud version and received an error message:

"Error installing module: This version of Prestashop cannot be upgraded:

the PS_ADMIN_DIR constant is missing".

Is it correct that the Cloud version of Prestashop cannot be upgraded? 

Does one have to delete the current version and sign up for a new Cloud version to get the latest version?

My problem is that each print format has measures of specific size .
When you think the product and think separately combinations of each print format with their respective sizes , then the client is the product choose a material type and format , but it does not matter which one you choose as the tabs sizes They will offer all .
 
There are many options of size and bundle and confuse customers . I have looked everywhere and can not find the form that by choosing such FORMAT: SQUARE will only show in the section SQUARE SIZE measures .

I have tried 1) regenerating thumbnails and 2) setting friendly url to Yes

I have create my PrestaShop store using PrestaShop Cloud.

And, So my store url like- mystore.pswebstore.com.

But today i have register a domain name from Bigrock.in.

And i set the ip address to the A Record field in my domain registration site Bigrock.in.

And its not any problem. After the Status is get Activate for my domain, and then when i visit my site by using my new domain- mystore.com, then it brings me to my store very nicely.

But it not change the store url, and it still- mystore.pswebstore.com!

For converting the 'mystore.pswebstore.com' to 'Mystore.com' i also need to add the DNS Name Servers for my domain name in PrestaShop.

I need to add the name servers are-

dns4.bigrock.in

dns3.bigrock.in

dns2.bigrock.in

dns1.bigrock.in

But where i need to add these Name Servers in PrestaShop Cloud?

I have not find any link or page to add name servers in my PrestaShop Cloud account.

So please anybody help me. Please.

I'm looking for some help. Im using prestashop cloud & I seem to have a problem trying to add my domain name.  I have followed the instructions that were listed, but it still wont work. I have added the domain name to my store, it then told me that i have to change the DNS info & create a ( A record)

I made the A record www.mydomain.com & typed in the ip address that was given to me in the instructions, however when i went to change the nameservers from the company that has my domain name, it wouldnt let me just type the ip address - it said not valid formatt, so im guessing i have to actually write the name ( example ds1-hosting.net)

But i cant seem to find the nameserver for prestashop cloud anywhere, only the ip address.

Can anyone help?

I am trying to also be able to log into backoffice with my tablet. On my desktop and phone no probems.

With my 2 year old samsung tablet it doesnt work. After adding email and passcode and enter it tries to load, but comes back to the same log in page. But..... if I log in in Incognito mode it works !!

I deleted the casche. Still the same.

I have a question,

I set up my cloudfront on amazon, and past link to my admin panel "Advanced parameters" -> "Performance"->MEDIA SERVERS (USE ONLY WITH CCC) - Media server #1. 

How do I disable function to upload all images on my hosting?, i want to store images only on cloudfront server.

Now when I want to upload picture, it loads on hosting and cloudfront.

And i need to display images in admin from cloundfront, now images is dispaly from "../img/tmp"

I've created an FTP user and browsed the FTP directories but can't see the test image i uploaded.

After having this issue on my domain , i thought i should share my experience with you all.

I Have bought SSL for my Domain which Cost me 50€. but 1 week after i found that every single addon on cloud is for money since they do not allow third - party Theme , modules to be installed. so i switched to Prestashop self-hosted but my SSL certificate is just gone.

After i contact Prestashop they told me that SSL i bought is only for cloud ( lol ye they said that ) i check their ploicit & terms and i could not find a single rule stating that SSL only working for Cloud.

Now i figured that out , when you paying for SSL on cloud it's not private SSL , it's just shared SSL.

So i'd advice you Not to buy SSL for your cloud unless your 100% satisfied and you are sure you'll keep your business on Cloud.

I Just Lost 50€ , and am going to re-order SSL but from my Domain Provider this time. so i wont lose it ever.

Going to publish on my you tube channel as well since not every one aware of this issue and not stated on the Rules as well.

Second problem, without 3 characters no results shown. I want it for 2 characters. I changed WEIGHT from Preferences>Search. Not working.

I have my back office that is acting strangely and doesn't allow me to run my operations correctly.

The following issues have arrived:

1. Back office, the "hovering" over the menus doesn't work and this means I cannot access any sub menus such as products or categories.
2. I've noticed that all data is perpetually loading and not showing up correctly (like in the screenshot). The website is constantly loading as seen in the top left of the screenshot as well

1. However, the most annoying fact is that suddenly all my sub categories were deleted. Explanation: Normally my catalogue is built, by car brand, then each one has models, within each one there are either brake pads or rotors. The models and the brake pads/rotors categories have disappeared. This shows on my website when you click on any brand (its empty). It show that they don't exist anymore when searching for a specific product.
2. Another strange fact is that when I try to add a new category (via the search buttun in the Backoffice) it still shows all the categories I created back then... :-((((
3. Another strange Fact is that when I am on one product in the back office, I cant access any of the menus on the left such as SEO or other (for example to check afiliation)...

Please Help me! The prestashop Help center, in spite of using 2 tickets already doesn't seem to be able to help since they cant replicate the problem :-(((

It's just not available since a few days ago, neither front- nor back-end, this is horrible! Need help, need explanation, is there anyone who can support on this?

I'm not sure how, but during setup I accidentally deleted the Home button/link in my top navigation bar. It orignally (correctly) pointed to my home page of https://www.hopelingerie.ch/en/

After I caught my mistake, I went to the "Top Navigation Bar" Module (Prestashop 1.6.1.5) and added it back in again, but now it points to https://www.hopelingerie.ch/en/content/category/1-home

For the life of me, and despite two hours of looking around, I cannot figure out how to get this pointed back to my Home page.

The site is under construction, but I made it visible in case someone needs to visibly see what I am talking about.

Can anyone out there help?
