I have PrestaShop version 1.7.8.1.1 and PHP 7.4 installed. I also have PrestaShop Checkout installed. However, I'm getting a configuration error. I'm not sure if it's because my PayPal account is different from my verification account.

There is a difference between "PayPal Officiel" and "PrestaShop Checkout built with PayPal" to receive Paypal/cards payment for merchants ?

As I receive phone calls (from UK to me in France) and emails imploring me to update my "PayPal Officiel" to "PrestaShop Checkout" that according to them is cheapper and up to date for legal regulations.

But service and price seam to be the same for the merchant (2.9% for paypal payment, 1.2% for card payment). My conclusion it's that there is two developpers and that one is trying to attract more users on its solution.

Does anyone know more ?

Will, and if, when will Paypal Official be ready for use with Prestashop 9? This would really help to plan my migration towards 9.x.

I have a prestashop eshop version 8.1.6 running on Apache with php 8.1

I try to use PrestaShop Checkout built with PayPal v8.4.3.0  but no luck.

While addon have but connected and set properly in backoffice the problem is that in frontoffice in checkout step payment methods

module cannot load the payment methods and keeps spinning infinitely

I have try many things but nothing work, deactivate other payment modules, remove and reinstall prestashop checkout plugin, 

clear cache etc but the problem remains.

When I deactivate prestashop checkout everything is working smoothly

any ideas how to solve this?

Can anyone help me solve the problem?

We are almost finished with our webstore but we have found ourselves with a big problem.

We are trying to use Prestashop Checkout as our payment module, Paypal business account and store are already linked and payment options are displayed as they should during checkout.

The problem is: when checking any payment method, and clicking on the pay-button (in this case: Creditcard, see images), we see the paypal window pop up for a split second before dissappearing and showing a red banner error message saying "Expected an order id to be passed".

Things we have tried to resolve this issue are:

• Reinstalling the module & entering all the shop and Paypal business details again
• Checking the SEO/friendly URL's for any spaces for all languages we are using
• Trying out the standard Paypal payment module, which also threw errors (please see log image!)
• All of the above with and without Maintenance Mode
• ...

We are trying our best but we're not experts; this is our first time with e-commerce/Prestashop and are having a difficult time Googling this exact issue with this module.

Is there someone that can guide us to the correct path or have experienced this same issue with a working solution?

I have three languages on my store (English, Slovenian and Croatian). 
PayPal works normaly on English and Slovenian, but not on Croatian. 

I've made a fresh installation of 8.1.0 but the error remains. 

Prestashop 8.1.0 (PayPal Official v6.1.0) 
Prestashop 1.7.7.5 (PayPal v6.1.0)

Any ideas?

And then I tried to pay with my other Paypal (personal) account, but it said "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again."

I then look at my Prestashop Checkout's configuration, it said "Upload documents in your PayPal account to verify your personal information andion your business entity. Once you have sent legal documents, the validation might take up to 3 business days".

I clicked the Go to Paypal button, it goes to Paypal page and it said"Thank you for providing all the required information. You're all set, and your account is back to normal". It seems my account already verified/validated.

I step back at my Prestashop Checkout's configuration to step 2 which is connect PayPal account, it said "Your PrestaShop account is linked to your PayPal account (Merchant ID censored)". And the Pending Validation spinning all the time even though my PayPal (business) account already verified/validated just like the PayPal said before "You're all set".

I don't know what to do next, can anyone help me? Does anyone have the same issue?

Until about 9 days ago, payments were going through.  Now I get this notice, although there is an SSL certificate active.

"Event notification has not been received yet. Please check if your website has a correct SSL certificate (https) or htaccess are not enabled."

My orders - all of them, consecutively - now get this notice; "Awaiting for PayPal payment".

Could someone please assist with this?

I have disabled PayPal webhooks, and then reactivated it.  Tried resetting the PayPal account, but this seems to run into setting up a new account, regardless of whether I have an account set up or not.

I was using Prestashop Checkout on my shop (www.jollyrogerbay.it) and everything was working fine, I updated the module to the latest version working with my version of prestashop (1.7.8.7) and It stopped to take payments, it was unable to find the linked paypal account, so I went into the module configuration and I was getting an error ("An Error Occour, please refresh, if the problem continue please contact our support team) in the page where I had to link my PrestaShop accoount, after that page there was the PayPal linking page, always with the error of above and then the button that allows you to link the paypal account, was loading infinitely and never showed.

Then I turned down the linking of the shop and tried to link my shop again, now I don't get any error anymore but I remain stucked in this page where I can only link or unlink mmy shop, but cannot go further to the page where I can link my paypal account so with the module not configured I cannot take payments

I'm having trouble connecting to paypal each time I try to connect an error 403 page opens trying from paypal official and prestashop checkout built with paypal the same result is occurring anyone can help please?

I'm using Prestashop 8.1.1. for checkout payment option I have Paypal. The store link is https://tenpet.si. I have connencted the account and everything. After customer make payment they got error:

Order validation error : Can't load Order status. Attention, your payment is made. Please, contact customer support. Your transaction ID

I'm using paypal module (for 1.6 version). I've notice some strange behavior. Some orders payed by paypal have same same delivery and invoice address. But in cart originally where two different addresses. Why is that?

I found in express_checkout\payment.php code:

First module gets last address (randomly, becouse getAddresses gets address without order by)

I am testing the official Paypal module to add payment in 3 installments but the message it shows on the product sheet, since it does not include the price of the product, does not calculate the fee.

Attached is a screenshot of how it looks and how it should look when I manually modify the price parameter in the html.

I updated the Paypal module in my BO (PS 1.7.) and after that, I got a black page. The error is this:

FatalThrowableError

item 1 -The PHP cURL extension must be enabled on your server.

item 2 - Webhook is disabled.

But - curl is installed by default on my a2 hosting server, so there should not be any error. sorted as site in demo mode, when turning to live, this fault is cleared

Every time I try to enable webhook from paypal setup page, and save it. it automatically unables it.

Been happily using PayPal to accept payments for years, on Oct 1st it simply ceased to function.

Testing checkout led to no progress beyond cart and the following message:

"Error in PayPal

An unexpected error occurred. Please contact shop administrator

TRY TO PAY AGAIN"

Went through numerous attempts with my hosting provider but nothing has worked. We deactivate the module which then led to numerous other issues which took 12 hours to get through.

We're finally back to having the module there and working, but whenever a customer attempts to pay the pop-up box vanishes without loading and the "Error in PayPal" message appears.

I have been trying to research this issue for 24 hours now and there is no information I can find to fix this.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know how to set these values?

i used on websitre www.duplexshop.it Paypal module 6.0 (https://addons.prestashop.com/it/pagamento-carta-credito-wallet/1748-ufficiale-di-paypal.html#seller)

but from a week the Paypal payment option into checkout disappeared. I try to clean cache, set up again the module etc etc but into backend all seems correct....just the diagnostic tell me that into File integrity : "Missing or updated files found" but i don't know what i must do.

Any ideas ?

I made a fresh install of Prestashop 8.0.1. Now I'm seting up Prestashop Checkout Module.

The first step "Associoate PrestaShop account" is made but I'm having preoblems to connect the PayPal account.

The paypal is connected but says "Please confirm your email address on https://www.paypal.com/businessprofile/settings in order to receive payments! You currently cannot receive payments."

If I set up in a prestashop 1.7 don't happen and my PayPal account is verified of course.

Any idea how to solve this.

I have web-shop based on PrestaShop™ - http://www.kuzmin.se/prshop/. The shop and PayPal payments works since 2009 without any problems. Now it is PrestaShop™ 1.4.6.2

For about two days ago my customers begin to get message:

I tried to solve the problem and installed the last PayPal module v3.4.5 and Backward compatibility v0.4. Did reset the PayPal module and provided PayPal API credentials. But, anyway, the same error occurs. My customers cannot pay by PayPal and I loose money and probably customers.

I've posted this on on "configuring and using prestashop" but, on second thought, I think this question should belong here.

I got a strange error that is getting me crazy and I really don't know how to solve it.

Checkout seems to be ok. When I try to buy something with prestashop checkout module everything is ok if the card number is correct.

If the card number is not correct I just have an "undefined" msg as in the image attached. I was expected the error message not that.

I've checked and everything seems to be translated in ps_checkout module.  Screenshots attached here.


Any idea how to solve this one ? 

is there a way or another addon which would allow us to send to PayPal the invoice number or better would be the order number? We need to connect it for our accountant and we were not able to find a way to do it. The official plugin does not allow it... Anybody can help us?

I am getting 2 different prices in regards to my shopping cart and when the price gets transferred to Paypal for payment. Often happens when more than one quantity of a particular item is ordered. I am assuming it has something to do with the rounding of taxes (8.75%).

Does anyone know of a solid fix for this?

Prestashop = $210.62

PayPal        = $210.60

We have an issue with the PayPal module and I'm really at a total loss. 

Every now and again a customer finds they can't checkout with PayPal. It takes them through, they confirm payment, then something happens and they're bounced back to Prestashop with the most helpful "Error Occurred" screen and an empty basket. This will keep happening to them until they clear their site cache. Obviously not every customer will know to clear cache so it's a seriously expensive issue.

I can't even work out where to look for logs to find out what is happening, let alone get close to fixing it. I'd really appreciate any help!

All are green and ok in the Checkout  module dashboard but as you can see in the attached below image in the checkout page the payment module is still loading, no way to fix it....any suggestion  ?

I transferred the whole shop from www.mydomain.com to store.mydomain.com and this was successful apart from one item - the PayPal module.

This is now saying that the module needs linking to the PayPal account, and I don't want the hassle of trying to get someone n another county to press the correct buttons on their mobile if I can avoid it.

Has anyone else come across this, and is there a way to recover the information?

I am writing to you as one of my client get a trouble on his Prestashop ,with Paypal module... and I don't know where it is coming from.

When a customer buy something and pay it with Paypal, Paypal does receive the money... but as a customer, i get a message "Error blabla" ; and as a backadmin Prestashop I have nothing : no order, no payment, nothing.

I checked the hosting : this is not the problem. No Php error there neither.

The Paypal module console tell me this :

I have contacted Paypal and they told me it is not coming from them, but Prestashop.

They told me the "IPN was deactivated".

Does something can help me with this trouble ?

We have received the paypal payment, but order is not created in the Prestashop.

And we have received another order #7046 via paypal payment, the customer of the order which is not created has send messages, and those messages showing up on the order #7046.

The customer of order #7046 has not send any messages, but those mesaages are showing up on the order #7046 and with his name.

Please guys help me to solve this issue.

In plugin configuartions section Paypal account is pending for approval.Is it reason for that error?

I am using Prestashop 1.7.7.3 with PayPal module v5.5.0. When I order something and proceed to checkout, I select "Pay with debit or credit card" and click the button "Order With An Obligation to Pay", there is no response. This used to work in previous versions. 

I asked PayPal and they said my PayPal account is acting normally. Can someone advise what I should check or change? Please give me the step-by-step. Thanks.

paypal module has not been working since yesterday. I updated prestashop up to version 1.7.8.7 and reinstalled paypal plugin (versione v5.7.0).

I also follow the procedure to connect paypal account, I had confirmation about correct connection to the account, but it still did not worked, nothing happened.

Here's what warnings say:

You must connect your Paypal account

PayPal webhooks can not be enabled. The webhook listener was not created. Webhooks are not used by the module until the moment the problem will be fixed. Please try to refresh the page and click on 'check requirements' again.

I had to reinstall a fresh Prestashop installation and I'm trying to add the "PrestaShop Checkout built with PayPal" module, but when I click install, I get the spinning circle for a minute and then I get the error:

Exception thrown by module ps_checkout on install. Error sent by Addons. You may need to be logged.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Clearly a checkout function would be helpful for the e-comm store. LOL

I am using Prestashop 1.7.7.3 with PayPal module v5.6.0. PayPal is currently not working in our store. When I click on the "Pay with PayPal" button, a server request is made to /module/paypal/ScInit?ajax=1&action=CreateOrder.

PrestaShop Version: 1.7.8.1

When installing the paypal module I see a warning on prestashop saying I need to install cURL. When I login as a client and when making a call to add products or make the checkout appear the code above the top bar as you can see in the image. I need to resolve this error urgently. Can someone help me please.

It's a problem that happen randomly...

When a customer want to pay there are 3 way he can do it on our website. 1- PayPal 2- Cash on delivery 3- Straight Credit Card.

Either way the customer choose for the payment, nothing works. When we click at the "commande avec obligation de paiement" the gray box change color from dark gray to soft gray and nothing happen. They are not redirect on PayPal and if it's Cash on Delivery we are staying on the same page with no further option.

Anyone had this problem?

Tengo un PS 1.6.1 con el módulo Paypal con recargo (paypalwithfee) de 4webs, de repente me aparece un error al hacer el pago por paypal, si activo el modulo original funciona correctamente.

Lo he revisado todo y a aparentemente esta todo ok, no obtengo ningún error.

we have activated the pyapal account and connected to the control panel of our e-commerce. subsequently the same control panel signaled us that we had to update the cURL and to contact the supplier of the Aruba host, as we did. following this operation and after having received confirmation from the paypal module panel in prestashop (which marked the cURL synchronization with a green quotation mark) the whole site had problems: We do not display (when you select "go to the shop") photos, prices and some price combinations (for example the specifications for regions, discounts and installation yes or no) It is not possible to place any product in the cart - it always results in an error It reports us FATAL ERROR at the bottom of the page Currently the control panel of our ecommerce shows all the information we have previously uploaded including product photos, details on price combinations and variants by region etc etc.

I have a problem withpaypal plus. I can use paypal from the product page or the recap page with the yellew button that redirects me to the paypal module. However, If I select paypal plus as payment method in the order page the following appears saying it will redirect you in a few seconds but it does not. I have also a Problem with protocol violation in the third screenshot.

I have seen this problem in other forums but it seems confusing still.

PS: Yes, the module is in production, not sandbox. Yes, I made a payment that was validated by paypal and the test customer using the paypal pay yellow button in the summary page. Yes all the enablers for paypal are green in th BO.

I'd like to know how I can charge the PayPal fee as surcharge upon checkout?

I've searched and looked around quite a bit but can't seem to find the answer.

I'm using PayPal v5.4.7 on Prestashop 1.7.8.2.

It worked fine on an older version of the site with a slightly older version of the same PayPal module but the old site had the classic theme whereas the new site has a purchased theme.

This happens when I select the option to pay with PayPal, it opens a window of Paypal, keeps loading and after refresh the page of my store and appears this error.

Then I paid an order,  PrestaShop back office no order records.

 Also, paypal merchant back office also did not receive payment,.

But the payment account shows a successful payment, the money has been paid.

So, where does the money end up?

We use Prestashop 1.7 with latest PayPal module version.

There is PayPal buy now button right next to the shopping cart on our product page.

The only problem is, it removes products existing in cart before opening checkout.

Example:

1. Customer has ProductA, ProductB, ProductC

2. goes to product page of ProductD

3. Clicks on add to cart on ProductD page.

4. Cart is emptied, checkout is opened only with ProductD.

Is there any way to stop PayPal from removing products from shopping cart?

I've noticed that PayPal button during checkout works perfectly fine. It created PayPal express window with all the products that were in shopping cart.

I have orders (example Customer orderd products + shipping for 39 € payed with paypal. Invoice is also correct) that show doubled in the customer backend

SOLUTION (how I solved it) ?:

1) Please update the module to the version 5.4.4 and clear the cache.

2) Please, in your BO go to shop parameters>Traffic and SEO and check all your friendly urls. If you have there more than one word, make sure they're written with dash instead of space between them. F.e. not "the test" but "the-test". That should solve the issue.

If not, please check also your ISO codes (International-localization-country). They should be correct and valid.

Please pay attention that it is necessary to check the urls for all languages that you have in your Back Office!

in paypal (express checkout, plugin for version 1.6) there is a option that allows to hide (during payment) customer address for virtual products. It is working but after checking the code I'm not sure if it is done right. In function _setPaymentDetails there is:

So default no shipping is set to 1 and this means to hide. But when cart is virtual then in else there is $fields['NOSHIPPING'] = '0'; So address is set to show but on virutal carts should be hidden. Like in the paypal documentation:

Determines whether PayPal displays shipping address fields on the PayPal pages. For digital goods, this field is required, and you must set it to 1. Value is:

0 — PayPal displays the shipping address on the PayPal pages.

But as I mentioned above it works. And I think it is working cause when there is virtual cart no address data are set so on paypal address data are not visible (even if $fields['NOSHIPPING'] = '1')

In practice, when I am redirected to paypal they go to the "Pay by card" section (without registration) enter all the necessary data check "No - I do not want to create a paypal account" and when they click to proceed with the payment, paypal redirects them back to the page and request to fill in the data again.

we have now been using PrestaShop 1.6.0.14 and the PayPal module 3.10.0 for a few weeks. Everything works fine but we realized that there is sometimes no order confirmation when a customer pays by PayPal. I can see the order in the back office and the customer gets the "payment" e-mail but there is no order confirmation. It's a bit confusing because this doesn't happen all the time: There are also orders with an order confirmation. I tried it, too, and received a confirmation so that it seems to be a bit obscure.

When I open the details of an order in the back office there should be a "PayPal refund" section above the list of the ordered products. And I found out that this section only exists when an order confirmation has been sent. Does that mean that orders without a confirmation haven't been finished correctly? Is that actually possible?

I hope that somebody can help. Thanks a lot in advance!

An error occured during the payment

This only happens when you order as a guest user.

We don't use Paypal, we use Payfast, but the payment process and how it should communicate with the Back Office order status is the same.

After we upgraded to 1.7.7.2, we noticed that when customers pay with Payfast, the order goes through as an "awaiting cash on delivery from validator", when it is supposed to use the "payment accepted" status automatically.

We have checked, and the payment is definitely through to Payfast, but it is as if the Back Office is not understanding it as such.

We do not use Cash On Delivery and this payment method is disabled too.

Customers is also not receiving any order confirmation emails using this payment method when they should.

Neither Payfast nor a developer could help us or find a solution.

We do not know anything about html coding either.

Paypal requires a phone number of contact for the customer service, but i don't want to show it. Can i disable the paypal option once the module is activated?

I migrate from PS1.6 to 1.7, and during the migration some PS free modules are losts.

So i want to download it from addons site.

For exemple for Paypal module.

I have a problem with the paypal module installed on the latest version of prestashop 1.7.6.5.

When the customer completes the order by inserting the voucher and paying with paypal it generates an error in which the discount is not recognized by paypal but the credit on the account is successful.

This is the error: Error code: 10486; Short message: This transaction couldn't be completed.; Long message: This transaction couldn't be completed. Please redirect your customer to PayPal .;

I searched and it would seem an error connected to the lack of "sufficient funds" on the part of the buyer, instead as mentioned above the transaction is performed, but perhaps it conflicts with the discount coupon.

Anyone have advice to give me?

I work with PrestaShop 1.7 and via the modules I installed the PayPal 1.4 addon. When I click configure I can activate 2 PayPal products, when I like activate nothing happens. It just refreshes the page. When I go to the parameters information tab I can't fill in credentials either. I can however select/deselect payment by card, etc. When I change those options it says that the PayPal information has been updated.

However the PayPal option doesn't show on check-out, which is logic since I never put in ANY credentials. 

How can I fix this? It's quite an annoying problem and I just want my shop to go online.

I have installed paypal installation on PS and since then I am unable to login to my admin panel. I am a newbie and need help with this issue. I have tried troubleshooting but unabel to login. I am not able to delete the module from my webhost as well. I have given the rights but still it doesn't allow me to delete the module. Please help! Thank in advance.

I have a Paypal module version 5.3.1 (from 202 ecommerce) and I'm getting this error quite often in the Prestashop logs:

Analysis error found in module braintreeofficial. syntax error, unexpected \'const\' (T_CONST).

I get this error almost every day. Sometimes I get 2 or 3 of them in a few seconds

I have linked my Paypal business account to my store, however when I click on the test button under TLS & CURL it says TLS version is not compatible

I am running PS v1.6.1.4 w/ Paypal module v 3.12.1

I have done some searching on this problem and found the below URL which explained PayPal disabled SSL 3.0 and was switching to TLS. My TLS version is 1.2! I also read from redwr4p's error they edited paypal_connect.php file changing the 3 to a 4 on the CURLOPT_SSLVERSION line. Unfortunately that broke my PS w/ an internal server error.

Can anyone please help advise what I need to change to make this error go away so the module can work?

P.S. I realise the PayPal version shown in the URL is v3.7.2 which is different from the my module, but checking for updates on PS it shows all modules are up to date!?

Yesterday I make the mistake to upgrade my Paypal version  4.0.1 to version 4.4.1. in my prestashop version 1.7.3.3.

The results is was  not showing up in native prestashop checkout or in my onepagecheckout as payment type.

I checked the configuration of module it is ok , also the language and the location  and also at payments prefencences 

to be all setup with carriers and payments and also  countries.

 The module still not showing at checkout and I cannot understand what happened, and dissapearend 

I tryed unistall and install again but nothing . 

Also i put the old module from a backup by ftp but nothing !!

No error messange on the screen just the module dint want to showing up and work !!

We have placed several test orders to ensure payment is working properly and orders on the backend would function as they should (send us a notification, adjust inventory, etc.)

The orders seem functional on the user side, payment goes through correctly from customer account to the merchant account, and I'm redirected back to my site with no errors (to Order History).. However, the back office does not create an order from the completed transaction - Had it not come from me, I wouldn't have even known about it.. I finally found it listed under "abandoned carts", but my inventory levels did not change, the transaction doesn't show up in my sales figures, and there is no order to show when I'm redirected back to the my orders page.. Had these been real orders, this would create big issues for me! Please help!

I'm using PrestaShop v.1.6.0.6 and PayPal USA mod v.1.3.4 with PayPal Payments Standard enabled... What am I missing? Is there a hook somewhere in the PayPal module that is not functioning correctly by not submitting the transaction to the proper place so an order gets created in my system? Or is this a problem in my back office?

update: I just enabled cash on delivery and placed another order choosing that option... the order was created in my back office with no problems... meaning, this is definitely an issue within the Payal module somewhere. It seems that my system is communicating with Paypal (item name and quantities from my order show up on the transaction when I view it from Paypal), but the Paypal module is not communicating with my system during the checkout/payment process in terms of transaction ID, amount, date, etc... Maybe this is why it's not creating the order on my back end?

I have an issue with prestashop checkout module.

1. There is no honor at all for options such as "Approve terms and conditions" in order page, its just not in the template file! No $conditions_to_approve check at all

2. Paypal express checkout does not work at all! 

3. Paypal express checkout doesn't have ANY terms and and conditions shown..

These issues kind of open up the prestashop users/customers to issues with the law in many countries, this set of configuration is very important.

For anyone considering to tell me to email the tech team through prestashop addons site, please don't, i already did, the response i received was a joke (told me to send a question from where i sent the question)

Today i updated PayPal module from PayPal v3.14.2 - by 202-ecommerce  to latest version PayPal v3.15.0 - by 202-ecommerce on PrestaShop version 1.6.1.24, the update has caused the following issue

1)  Product Add to Cart

2) Proceed To Checkout

Issue when you select Yellow Icon PayPal  Check Out the following error below appears

"This page isn’t working

www.romfordgifts.co.uk is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500"

Rest blank page.

There appears to be an issue with the update, as i have another website hosted in same conrtol panel and i have not updated PayPal v3.14.2 - by 202-ecommerce to the new version, and as soon as you click on Yellow Icon PayPal Check Out it forwards to Log in to PayPal page.

Has anyone experience a similar issue and thoughts of a solution.

Would appreciate any thoughts or comments.
